Description
The EMC series sensor is a microprocessor based sensor complete with integrated on-board temperature sensor, light level sensor, occupancy sensor, infrared emitter (IE) and infrared receiver (IR) into a single construction unit which is design to provide a stable, repeatable and accurate means of measuring space temperature, light level (LUX), human presence detection (occupancy) and capable of transmitting infrared signal to any 3rd party devices or receiving infrared signal from any 3rd party IR devices / remote IR controller within the indoor space environment. The EMC series sensor sensing module performance is not affected by any condensation, high humidity or contaminants in the measure environment.
The EMC series sensor is designed to be interchangeable which means the same sensor module type can be interchange without the need of recalibration of the sensor by incorporating self-calibration circuits into the sensor design.
Integration to any digital control system / SCADA is become very simple by implementing digital communication bus (RS-485) which eliminates the needs of providing physical Inputs / Outputs capacities or capabilities in the control system itself. Furthermore, digital communication bus eliminate any A/D errors during signal conversion, distance of the physical cable itself and system expansion will become less complex, more cost effective whereby no home run cabling required and only required to tap from the nearest sensor network.
