The EGI1110001 is an opto-isolator / repeater used to enhance / improve / increase RS-485 communication network reliability for Direct Digital Controllers, Smart Sensors and Devices in buildings. Opto-isolation method via photocoupler technology have been used in the design of isolated RS-485 communication networks for the past four decades. The choice for using optocoupler in RS-485 communication network applications remains high due to the fact that it offer a freedom of choice with regard to isolation voltages. The EGI1110001 used Renesas digital high speed optocoupler in this RS-485 optoisolator / repeater product.
